With all these choices, brands, shops (advertising, lots and lots of advertising \ud83d\ude09 ) and images of beautifully laid tile designs- it\u2019s a wonder we can choose anything at all!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a common problem \u2013 trying to decide if that tile you have seen six times (or it could be once, or even 10!!) is the right tile for you. They help determine size, pattern and colour and we can do an approximate take off for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s discuss materials-<\/strong> what product do you find yourself falling in love with? Is it natural stone? or porcelain?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Size<\/strong>&#8211; it does matter &#8211; have you talked to your tiler or builder about tile sizes? find the price difference of laying different size tiles and consider what size works best for you-large tiles= less grout, less grout=less cleaning (hmm.. bigger is definitely looking better!) and can visually increase the size of a room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Budget<\/strong>&#8211; yep. Obvious. We will leave this one\u2026 Actually, on second thoughts-consider that some companies have well priced tiles all year round-don\u2019t rush during sale periods, when you can get good quality tiles all year round at good prices (think AMS Surfaces for all your tile needs &#x263A;).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Order<\/strong>&#8211; sometimes that tile you love just isn\u2019t in stock. Allow 12-14 weeks to get in that special tile (which during a build or renovation isn\u2019t a long time). But order it when you fall in love with it-don\u2019t wait or you may be purchasing a tile that is just ok- and that\u2019s not really ok.<\/p>\n<p>Escaping the jungle of tiles is no easy task.
